We have here an interesting engraved marker that has been discovered by our fellow treasure hunter on his site.

This engraved marker is composed of several symbols which we are going to analyze and interpret what they exactly mean.

Below is the actual photo of the treasure marker taken by our fellow treasure hunter in this community.

We can see here a rock which seems to have a round shape. Based on my own perspective, I can say that its size isn’t really that large enough. Unless, we are just seeing the surface portion of a one large buried rock. Aside from this, my analysis of its physical features is that it is definitely an old rock.

The most eye-catching part about this rock is the engraved marker on its surface. The way how these symbols were engraved can only be done through human hands (by using some kind of tools of course). Aside from the way it was engraved, I can also say that this was engraved a long time ago. Thus, I can say that this treasure marker is authentic which has something to do with the hidden Yamashita treasure on the site.

At the top portion, we can see two symbols which are the “F” and “R”.

Below them is a complete arrow sign.

And below this arrow sign are the numbers “130” and “20”. 

So how exactly do we interpret these particular marker?

This is actually the third type of FR marker that I already interpreted. So my interpretation of the meaning of our marker here is the same as the two other previous similar marker that we already discussed.

Below is the photo of the first FR marker that we already covered in the previous posts. As we can see, the engraved marker has already faded but we can still clearly see the symbols.

This is the second FR marker that we also discussed. But unlike the two, this one has been engraved on a small size rock or concrete.

Do they have some differences?

All three of them have similar FR symbols. But when it comes to their arrow signs, we can notice that two of them have an engraved X in the middle. However, in the small rock, a nail has been used.

The X and old nail at the middle portion of the arrow sign actually has the same meaning. They are both symbolizing the treasure deposit on the site. Thus, my interpretation of this is that the arrow sign is pointing to a direction towards the location where the item has been buried.

The second difference about this marker are their numbers below. The numbers below are purposely different from one another because they indicate “distance” and “bearing angle”. In this marker, the distance is indicated by the number 130 while the bearing angle is the number 20.

What exactly is a bearing angle?

In the previous post, I really never explained well about the bearing angle. So in this post, I’ll try to explain it in the most basic sense possible so that anyone can easily understand.

First, we need to use a magnetic compass in order for us to determine the North portion of our site.

Let’s say for example that this is our North.

This is our East which is the portion where the arrow sign is pointing at.

Now, this line that is directly aligned to the East has a 0 degree angle.

While this line that is directly aligned to the North has a 90 degree angle.

Thus, our 20 degrees angle is just right here.

As for the symbols F and R, they are common symbols used by the Japanese Imperial Army soldiers indicating that the details of this particular marker will finally lead us to the treasure deposit spot. So if we happen to follow the correct direction indicated by this marker, we will end up at the place where the item has been buried. What we just need to do is to find the last surface marker that will give us the clue to the exact digging spot.

Short Summary:

The arrow sign with an X at the middle does indicate a direction towards the place where the item has been buried. The numbers below are the distance and bearing angle. As for the F and R symbols, they do indicate that when we are able to follow the correct direction based on the details provided by this particular marker, we will be able to reach the place where the item has been buried.
