Yamashita Cross Signs Pertaining Directly to Specific Locations

In the previous posts, we have been discussing more about the meaning of the Yamashita cross signs or markers. This post is another continuation of this particular sign where we are going to discuss cross signs that are pertaining directly to specific locations of the hidden treasure deposits.

Let’s start with the very first cross sign.

Treasure Deposit is Hidden at the Rice Field

As you can see on the image above, the cross sign is enclosed inside a parallelogram box. This parallelogram box is what represents the location which is in the form of a rice field. There are indeed so many rice fields here in the Philippines and the JIA (Japanese Imperial Army) did found them as perfect hiding places for their war loots.

Assuming that you have found this particular type of sign engraved onto a surface of one huge old rock, the first thing that you have to do is to search for the location being referred by this marker. So in this case, you need to search for the old rice field which in most cases, it is simply nearby. When you find a certain rice field, the next step is to confirm if it is an old rice field or not. If it’s just a recent one then you need to continue your search for the location of the old rice field.

If it happens that you found the right location, what you need to do next is to look for additional signs or markers on the rice field. Which in most cases, they will give you clues or hints about where you should dig.

Cross Sign referring to a Hidden Tunnel Entrance

The JIA often hide their precious war loots inside tunnels among all other places. So if you are dealing with a tunnel hidden treasure deposit, you can always consider it that it consists of a large volume of treasure.

The image above is a cross sign pertaining to a hidden tunnel around. As you can see, the cross symbol is on top of a box shape symbol. The cross confirms the hidden item while the box shape symbol is what represents the hidden tunnel.

So what you need to do?

Let’s say that you have found this particular cross sign engraved onto the surface of a huge old rock. It literally means that you need to search for a hidden tunnel entrance around the site. Searching for the hidden entrance is the huge challenge since the sign does not provide direction to its location. So what you have to do is to make an effort searching every possible portion or corner of your site.

Here is another cross sign with similar meaning as the above. Although, this sign has two symbols at the bottom of the cross composed of two commas. These two comma symbols is what represents the hidden entrance of the tunnel.

Cross Markers Referring to an Old Tree

As shown on the illustration above, the cross sign is slightly tilted on the right side. At its lower portion, there are two lines that went sideways at opposite directions.  Anyway, this sign is actually referring to an old tree where the item is hidden.

However, this sign does not give any clue about the exact location of the treasure deposit. So what you have to do is to search for this old tree because on this old tree itself, you will surely find additional signs or markers that will provide the exact location of the hidden item. But in most cases, the item can be hidden inside the old tree or underneath it.

Here is another cross sign with the same exact meaning as the one above. But the difference in terms of their appearance is that, this cross sign has an added symbol on its top which is simply a line.

Cross Sign referring to a Deposit Hidden at the Graveyard

The image above is a Yamashita cross sign that is referring to graveyard or cemetery. As you can see, it is simply composed of symbols which consists of a cross and a rectangular box underneath it.

The rectangular box is the representation of a grave. As for the cross, it confirms that the item is hidden in one of the graves.

Based on my own personal experiences as a treasure hunter, the item is commonly hidden inside one of the graves or underneath it.

Treasure Deposit is Near an Old Creek

Old creeks are also common places where the JIA had hidden their precious looted treasures. So in relation to the sign shown above, it consists of symbols that have two waves of lines under the cross. These two waves of lines represent the old creek while the cross indicates that the item is hidden nearby.

Dealing with this kind of particular sign is exactly similar to the other cross signs that you have discussed above. You need to search for the old creek. And when you happen to find it, look for further additional signs or markers around it which most likely give clues to the exact location of the treasure deposit.

Here is another cross sign with the exact same meaning above. The only difference with this cross sign is that, this one refers to either an old creek or river which is nearby.

Treasure Deposit Underneath a Huge Old Rock

On this cross sign, notice that at the bottom if it, there is an arc shape symbol. What does it mean?

This arc shape symbol indicates one huge old large rock in which you need to look for. If you happen to find it, then most likely, this old rock has an engraved marker on it. And in most cases, these additional markers will confirm that the treasure deposit is either inside the rock itself or underneath it.

We have here another cross sign that is almost similar to the one above. The only difference between them is that, this one has a dot inside the arc. Anyway, this dot fully confirms that the treasure deposit is hidden inside the large old rock.

Treasure is Hidden Underneath an Old Church

The final cross sign covered on this post is composed of an arc sign again at its bottom part. However, the arc is going in an upward direction. What it actually means is that the treasure deposit is hidden underneath it.

How about the cross symbol?

Well, the cross symbol represents an old church. So this makes the overall meaning of this sign as, “treasure deposit hidden underneath the old church”.
